Street Carnival - Drags from Banda de Ipanemal Banda de Ipanema is one of the highlights of Rio de Janeiro's Street Carnival festivities. The banda was founded in the sixties, by a group of intellectuals that included personalities like brothers Albino and Claudio Pinheiro, cartoonists Jaguar and Ziraldo. For some reason since the 80's it has has started to attract hordes of drag queens in the most colorful costumes. The results are here for you to enjoy! |
