A mix of ingredients that are distinctively South-American with regional seasonings, with new readings of typical Brazilian dishes define the flavor of Pecado. Checho’s cuisine is a summary of the so-called contemporary Latin gastronomy, totally based in creations that surpass the unexpected. A modern and rebellious cuisine, one that defies gastronomic conventions.

With an extensive menu that is creative and full of Latinidad, Pecado offers several options of appetizers, salads, seafood, meats and desserts. The kitchen turns out Brazilian recipes with a modern touch, and dishes that combine trends from several countries.

In addition to the best-selling cherne (a Brazilian sea bass) served sided by a crunchy tapenade with garlic chives and potatoes sautéed in herbal olive oil, there are highlights such as the Shrimp bobó risotto (Arborio rice in a vegetable stock and butter, shrimp, dendê oil, coriander, dedo-de-moça pepper, tomato, manioc and coconut milk), and the seafood ceviche marinated in orange juice (cherne with shrimp and octopus cooked in lemon, jitomato, with orange juice and wedges).

Irreverent combinations with a delightful appearance and tropical flavor define the dishes signed by Bolivian chef d’ Checho Gonzales. His cuisine highlights the preservation of color, flavor and the original aroma of foods. Checho is a rebel, and disregards cooking conventions – even the traditional white uniform has been replaced by an exclusive outfit. Aged 37, Checho has already worked in top restaurants in São Paulo, but he ended up as the darling to Cariocas and to Rio’s international visitors. In 2001 he was acclaimed as the revelation of the year by Gula magazine. In 2002 he was awarded by Danusia Barbara’s prestigious guide of restaurants. His partner in Pecado is Arnaldo Merian, the talent behind Rio’s favorite nightclub - 00 (Zero Zero) in Gávea.
