Sol Ipanema is one of our favorite hotels in town. With 90 rooms distributed along 15 floors, it associates a tradition of three decades of personalized and friendly service with top accommodations, and a perfect location on Ipanema Beach. The hotel is on the beach lane, Av. Vieira Souto, between Vinicius de Morais and Farme de Amoedo streets. This is as central as it gets - , the hotel is actually used by locals as a beach reference when they say I go to the beach at the Sol (meaning sun in Portuguese) . Facilities include a dip pool and bar on the top floor, featuring a postcard 180° view to the beaches of Arpoador, Ipanema and Leblon. On the ground floor there's a beauty salon, bar, and a business center with Internet access. On the mezzanine floor you will find restaurant Sol Ipanema. Do not miss the complimentary breakfast with made-to-order omelets and waffles, fresh-squeezed juices and tropical fruit, pastries, cold cuts, sausages, cereal, hot chocolate and tea. They are also open for lunch and dinner, with specials every day of the week! All rooms are are en suite, with air-conditioning, cable TV with channels in English, an oversized double bed or a set of twins, table, phone with voice mail, mini-bar, safety box, high-speed Internet connection for your notebook, everything you need to feel at home. Bathrooms are big, spotlessly clean, and there´s a handy hair drier attached to the wall and even an extra phone.
